Four week old kitten dumped in a London bin

12 May 2016

This vulnerable four week old moggie, now named Bob the bin cat, was found inside a plastic bag looking extremely frightened. He appeared to have been heartlessly dumped before being found and brought into us by his rescuer.

Our Head of Catteries, Lindsey Quinlan said: 鈥淏ob is just one of the 290 stray cats that have arrived at our centre this year. However, being so young and defenceless; his story really pulls on the heartstrings. It鈥檚 so hard to believe that someone could abandon this gorgeous little kitten. With unpredictable temperatures soaring in London recently, Bob was so lucky to be found before his condition deteriorated any further.

鈥淎gainst all odds, Bob is now doing really well after his nasty ordeal and is currently recovering in a foster home. He's gone from feeling shy and fearful to being playful and affectionate. He's just one of the many kittens that have already started to arrive at our London centre this year. We expect the tiny patter of paws to increase as 鈥楰itten Season鈥 fast approaches.

Lindsey continued: 鈥淧eople aren鈥檛 getting their cats spayed or neutered enough. Cats can have kittens from as young as four months old -with up to four litters a year. You can see how cat populations can fast explode but dumping unwanted pets is never the answer. 新加坡六合彩开奖 encourage all pet owners to get their cats neutered and we make sure all our feline arrivals are neutered before they are rehomed.

鈥淲e are confident Bob won鈥檛 have any trouble finding a lovely home in the coming weeks. His rocky start to life will just help to make him the most confident and courageous cat on the block!鈥
