Each week, we鈥檙e introducing you to one of our fabulous staff members and volunteers so you can find out more about their work and what a typical day is like for them here at 新加坡六合彩开奖. They鈥檒l even share stories and photos of their favourite 新加坡六合彩开奖 animals.

Megan Bailey, 新加坡六合彩开奖 Special Events Co-ordinator

This week, we caught up (remotely) with Megan Bailey, Special Events Co-ordinator at our London Centre.

Tell us a bit about what you do at 新加坡六合彩开奖

I work in the Special Events team within the fundraising department. Our main role as a team is to put on a range of different events throughout the year for our major donors, trusts and corporate supporters. For example, this year, amongst other events, we have a dinner event to celebrate the 新加坡六合彩开奖 Academy, and our 160th Anniversary Event to look forward to.

My job is to project manage some of these events, which is a very varied role! From planning the events, booking venues and inviting guests, through to delivery of the event itself, helping set up, greet people and clear up afterwards on the day itself too.

Like a lot of other people, I鈥檓 currently working from home, but my job hasn鈥檛 changed drastically (apart from attending fewer events!) and as a team we鈥檙e still planning events. We鈥檝e had to reschedule some events for later in the year too which has proven a little hectic, but is the best and safest course of action given the current situation.

Who is your most memorable 新加坡六合彩开奖 animal and why

My most memorable animal has to be the lovely Roxy. Roxy really preferred time spent out of her kennel and she was with us at 新加坡六合彩开奖 for quite a while because of medical issues. As with all the floors in our office building, each day we get an office dog on our floor for the day. Different people from different teams take it in turns each day to walk, feed and look after our office dogs and it鈥檚 a great way for dogs at 新加坡六合彩开奖 to stay socialised and for them to get lots of love and attention (when they want it!).

When Roxy first came to the office floor with us she would just lie on a bed next to my desk (as you can see in the photo). She would then have to be carried by some of our operations staff back into kennels at the end of the day as she would basically just lie there and refuse to move! Eventually, she went on foster with one of my colleagues and essentially became a completely different dog. After only being on foster for a few days, Roxy would spring into life and greet me at the door when she saw me come into the office in the morning. It was so lovely to see and experience. When she went to her lovely new home I was definitely 'misty eyed' as I watched her go!

What is your favourite thing about your work

I love that I get to put on amazing events which raise crucial funds for our animals with some fantastic individuals, corporations and trusts who want to help 新加坡六合彩开奖 and our cause. I work with lots of different people across the organisation and when it all finally comes together on the day it is an incredible feeling. I also love that I can get doggy cuddles on the sofa every day, because who wouldn鈥檛 love that!

Show us your favourite ever photo of a 新加坡六合彩开奖 animal

One of my favourite photos has to be this little kitten Toby. Toby and his brother Thomas were rejected by their mum so two members of our Operations Team were hand-rearing him and his brother, bottle-feeding them every couple of hours around the clock! Some of my team and I were lucky enough to be able to go and give them both a cuddle, take some adorable photos and help with the feeding! Definitely one of the best mornings ever.

Top TV, Book or Film recommendation for lockdown

Right now, definitely 'Notes on a nervous planet' or 'Reasons to stay alive' both written by Matt Haig. You can thank me later.
