Meet our beautiful Fern!

Fern was gifted to мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± because she started to show a strong chase drive towards wildlife, where she was not able to be recalled when off lead. Fern is a working dog, bred for hunting stock, so owners will need to continue training with this lovely lady.

During her stay onsite, sweet Fern has proven to be quite a sensitive lady. She has struggled to settle in kennels, and often seeks reassurance from kennel staff, sticking to them like glue where she can.

She is coming out of her shell slowly but surely, but is still quite anxious of life and owners will need to manage their expectations initially whilst she settles, as she is likely to take some time before opening up to them and showing her true colours. She has however, proven herself to be a very loving and affectionate companion, who gains a lot from the company of her people.

She is a typical busy spaniel that will need owners who are experienced with the breed and are prepared to provide all the mental and physical stimulation that Spaniels need. Owners should also be prepared to put in lots of work around her recall and lead walking skills. They will need to give her a settling in period in her new home to give her all the time and space she needs to find her feet and bond. Once settled and bonded, she is sure to make a lovely companion to whoever is lucky enough to have her!
