Hugo is a fun dog that has made great friends with our staff here at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Old Windsor.

Hugo is looking for new owners that experience with owning Akitas or dogs of a similar nature. They are a highly intelligent breed and very strong willed. Hugo will be a beloved family pet once he has got to know everyone at his pace, then will show his goofy silly side.

He will need ongoing training around a few areas in a new home. Visiting the vets have been overwhelming for him, he has had positive trips and made friends to make him at ease. Hugo’s new owners will need to feel confident handling and supporting him through these interactions.

Hugo will be looking for a home with his own private garden. This will be a fun place for him to be off lead and let off steam. He has really enjoyed off lead paddock time here at Old Windsor, he is very independent choosing to sniff but a squeaky toy always gets his attention.

A home with adults only will be the best fit for Hugo, due to being uncomfortable around aspects of handling and he can forget his size when getting excited. This way everyone can be involved in his training and help him settle.

Hugo does know a ‘sit’ and very happy to show off for a tasty treat. He has been housetrained in kennel; a home will be a new experience for him but he has some great basic training in place.

Hugo is a great example of his breed and has the personality to match. Akitas can be an aloof breed that takes time to warm up and not generally a lap dog. Hugo is looking for owners that understand this and will let his personality shine in his time to make much loved member of the family.
