Meet our super Mario!

Mario is an excitable young boy who came to us as a stray so we have no history of how he is in a home. As is typical of his breed he has a lot of energy and is very agile! Mario is very sweet and has been friendly with everyone he has met. He loves his toys, although is still working on his exchange, and he walks well on lead in spite of his size.

As Mario was a stray and may not have lived in a home before, new owners will need to be patient and appreciate that he may need a prolonged settling period. Mario has been learning his basics on site, but may need his new owners to continue with these as well as house training from scratch. Mario can get very bouncy and is able to jump very high so would not be suitable for living with young children or cats. Mario would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but could potentially live with an older steadier dog who can act as a good role model for Mario.

Mario is looking for energetic new owners who have the time and energy to put into Mario’s training and are realistic in their expectations of his settling period as a stray. Previous experience with working or guarding breeds would be ideal, as would an interest in some extracurricular activities such as obedience, agility or fly ball to help channel Mario’s energy and intelligence into a positive outlet.
