Monty is a super sweet lurcher with dashing good looks and a cheeky chappie personality. Monty loves to explore our fields on his walks and run around our paddocks playing with his toys and canine chums.

This lovely boy can be unsure around new people, particularly men. From what we have been told, he did not have the best start in life and was not treated as kindly as he should have been. Despite this, with a gentle and kind approach Monty is able to make friends and builds solid relationships quickly. Once he has a bond with someone, he is a loyal and affectionate companion and not afraid to show his goofy side!

Monty enjoys the company of other dogs and they do help build his confidence. He has doggy friends at Brands Hatch who he meets with and walks with in his new home, and he can get very giggly and excited when he sees them. Although he would benefit from some doggy friends to meet up with and walk with, he would prefer to be the only pet in the home so he can soak up all of his family's attention and affection.

Monty would like to live in a quieter area, with easy access to natural walking routes. He does need his own garden as a secure space for running around, as he will need to be kept on lead and muzzled in public places as he does like to chase wildlife, which is typical of his breed. Monty's new family will ideally have experience of worried dogs and understand how to support him appropriately and positively to build his confidence.

After his troubled past, our bouncy brindle boy really does deserve the very best is just waiting for a kind and sympathetic new family to sweep him off his paws and give him his chance.
