More about ROY
Meet Roy the Akita – a sweet soul looking for his forever home.
Roy came to мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± from as a stray via the wardens, having been clipped by a car. Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt, but he's a little cautious around loud vehicles. While he can still be a bit wary of traffic, he's been doing great on and off-site, and is gradually becoming more relaxed.
When Roy first arrived, he took a little longer to settle in. He was worried about formal handling and, like many dogs, would get stressed. With lots of love and patience, Roy has come a long way! He can still get stressed with formal handling, but with time and patience, he’s blossomed into a wonderful, affectionate dog. Just go at his pace, and he’ll shower you with love.
Roy can get excited when passing other dogs on lead, as he really wants to meet them all. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and has some lovely social skills. He loves pottering around with his canine companions.
He needs a family with experience of his or very similar breeds. He can be strong on the lead, so new owners should be physically able to handle him during walks. Most importantly, Roy has a sensitive side, and his new family will need to be patient and understanding. Roy may take a little time to trust, but once he does, he’ll be your best friend for life. Ready to meet this sweet and spirited boy? Don’t expect too much too soon, but if you give him time, Roy will be a loyal, loving companion.
